EXHIBITION: “Poetry in Colour”

Tin Hut Textiles are a group of eleven textile artists based in East Anglia who design and create original textile art for exhibition and sale.


Marion Curtis: A post-retirement studio clearance.

The African Fabric Shop: Unique, wide range of vivid colours and bold patterns from across Africa. Hand-dyed and hand-woven textiles. Wax prints, batik, beads, and baskets. Come alone for some colourful African inspiration.

Tudor Rose Patchwork: We offer quality patchwork fabrics, patterns, kits, pens, and notions plus our Heat Applied Glitter Film, all at reasonable prices. Lots of special offers will be available in the event.

Etui Coterie– the travelling haberdashery and string makery. All things braiding and sewing : kits and accessories.

Michelle James Designs: Vintage inspired creative textile products including vintage-inspired hares, birds, pictures, dolls, notebooks and more. Vintage, recycled and up-cycled inspirational collage kits, fabrics, and textures.

Button Up & Stitch– bright contemporary fabrics for quilting and dressmaking.  Haberdashery, trims, patterns and kits.

Sandra Beech: Hand dyed threads, fabrics and fibres

Spinspired– Hand carded fleece, various breed. Hand spun/hand dyed yarn. Hand crafted craft equipment. Unique hand crafted garments, and kits. Spinning, blending and tapestry weaving demonstrations. Willingly given help and advice.

Caroline Hyde- Brown: A beautiful collection of art textiles depicting landscapes and trees using a variety of mix media and eco-dyed fabrics.

Batiks n Beads: Batik fabric, hand dyed felts, Stef Francis hand dyed threads and Japanese cub and seed beads.

Chrystal Rose Design Crafts: A selection of beads, fringes, charms, cords, and ribbons.

Spangles: Kits for beadable items, books, beading equipment, tool, wires, threads, and findings.  We’ve been around for 35 years and usually say “Yes, we’ve got that!”

Janet & Hazel’s Jewellery – a diverse selection of handmade woven and beaded fashion jewellery at reasonable prices.

Rosalind Castling– retailer of antique and vintage textiles, haberdashery, embroideries, linens, sewing equipment, books and magazines.

21st Century Yarns– an interesting and colourful array of unique hand-dyed yarns, threads and fabrics in natural luxury fibres. Design and designer  packs, suitable for all creative textile art.

Fenland Textile Studio– Angela will be bringing her unique Kantha kits and books, gorgeous threads, fabrics and needles. Natural dyeing kits and new for 2019 are wool pennies.

Wool Zone– sock yarns are not only for socks- they make great shawls, clothes and blankets.  We stock sock yarns to suit all budgets and colourful knitting and crochet kits for all abilities.

Creative Stitch–  offers courses in machine embroidery, patchwork and quilting.  These courses replace the old City & Guilds courses.  Come and watch us demonstrate various aspects of the course.

The Old Bookshop– Suppliers of out of print/secondhand books on costume, fashion, textiles and embroidery

Makit Lace & Needlecraft Supplies– supplier of threads and equipment for all kinds of needle crafts.

Fibretastic– unique hand dyed, hand spun yarn and embroidery  threads for knitters & textile artists.

Sew Knit Craft:  Fabric, knitting yarn, Janome, Bernina and Pfaff machines and haberdashery.

Art Van Go– 30 years of inspirational art materials for textile artists. Everything for colour, textile design, prints and form.  Dyes, paints, fabrics, paper, books and more!

The Nutmeg Company– Innovative 3D-cross stitch kits for all levels of experience and related supplies including perforated paper.

Block Craft– Fabulous range of hand carved Indian printing blocks, fabric paints and blank items to print.  All blocks are designed by us and carved in rural India (fair trade)

Claire’s Creative Craft Cabin– A wide selection of embellishments, and bits and bobs to inspire the textile artist.

Melly Made Designs– Hand dyed fabrics and threads.  Eco dyed fabrics.  Hand dyed Inspiration Packs.  Fabric bowl Patterns.  Treasure Bags.  Fabric Paper, Textured Fabrics.

Butterfly Hair– Beautiful handmade hair-clips that hold any amount of hair securely all day long.

Felt and Dandy– Hand Made Needle felted sculptures, needle felting kits, tools, and accessories, details of workshops and workshop samples

Eau Brink Studio-A mixture of mixed media art and household items made by Anita.

Marshland Fabrics– Seller of quality cotton fabrics from Makower, Lynette Anderson, Kaffe Fassett and many more.

Claire Rudin – Beautiful batiks- original and limited edition silk batik scarves.  Batik wall hangings and pictures on silk and cotton. Handmade and printed cards.  Details of batik workshops available

Sue Hawkins– Needlework accessories to stitch using lovely colour and stitch combinations in silks and stranded cottons. Upholstered embroidery frames and lots of unusual sewing tools and trinkets

Aid for Burma (KSDP Charity)– Original hand-made crafts and textiles by S.E.Asian Hill-tribes & Burmese refugees. All profits go to Karenni Student Development Programme, a charity supporting humanitarian projects for the Karenni people of Burma.

The Spinner’s Stash– Come by and have a squish of our wool, browse through our kits, and try our handcrafted drop spindles. We will also have a selection of Spinolution spinning wheels for you to enjoy.

Fibrefusion – (Contemporary Textile Art Group) – will be selling their Textile Workbooks, Fabric and Thread Packs, Cards and Postcards.

Alison White – hand-crafted sheep inspired products all made from British fleece, perfect gifts to treat yourself, or for any knitter,spinner, weaver or anyone that loves sheep!


Cambridgeshire Embroiders’ Guild– is a lively, friendly group sharing a passion for textiles.  We enjoy a varied timetable of talks and workshops in our Saturday meetings.
